Cottage vibes spring home tour

It’s that time of year again, the spring home tour time! Which makes me feel really excited because you know how it goes, first bloggers decorate their homes for spring and then the actual spring comes- which means that longer days and warm sun is only a couple of weeks away!

And if you’re coming here from the The Tattered Pew I’m so happy to welcome you!

So first let me welcome you in to my main hallway, in to -as my hubby refers to- The Meadow. I see his point but I’m also pretty obsessed with this wallpaper ( even if the quality isn’t the best..) that makes me think of an old English cottage with all the flower themed wallpaper everywhere.

You may wander why am I not showing you my front door cheerfully decorated for spring? Well as I previously mentioned first we decorate and only then spring comes- but in my little corner of the world just outside of Montreal there’s still tons of snow and I can barely get to the front door so the pretty cheerful front door decor will have to wait until summer.

Sooo.. to the main open space we go! Our open space living room is open to the dining room and the kitchen and you bet I added lots of pattern and colour in anticipation of spring!

I love cheerful and colorful vibes for spring so my mandrel is a bunny themed space that makes me and my kids smile every time we see it.

The table centrepieces is the old wooden tray with faux flowers in mason jars- very cottegy and very budget friendly! Don’t get me wrong, I love real blooms, but until they become more affordable in midsummer faux flowers it is!

Now let me show you around the kitchen with more spring cottage vibes : blooms, wallpaper, open quirky shelves and a easter themed tiered tray- all check!

Since our spring sadly reminds more of a prolonged end of winter my hot chocolate station is disguised as an Easter themed island decor- but in reality this is where hot chocolate is being served after playing outside! I know, not the most spring like drink, but what can I do!

Now, let me take you upstairs to our bedroom – though sadly we’ll skip kids rooms this time as I refused to clean after my little piggies, even for the sake of the spring tour!

Here, I added new spring prints, flower patchwork pillows cases and a cheerful yellow throw- oh and of course a bouquet of blooms- but can you guess if it’s fresh or faux?

I just love the modern cottage vibes in here, although I must tell you a secret- this room is not fully finished yet since I still have wallpaper to hang! Come back to see it in 2 weeks ok?

As you see our cat believes it’s her bed, but who am I to tell her otherwize?

Well, this is all that I decorated for spring this year- who knows maybe once we have updated bathrooms and once my kids learn how to clean up I’ll actually decorate our entire home for spring? We’ll see next year!

Now make sure to check my friends beautiful homes- next one on our tour is Life is Better at Home – I’m sure you’ll love her decor- make sure to check it tomorrow morning!
