Another summer day, another way to enjoy seasonal fruits.I guess every one likes smoothies, and there is so many ways of doing them: with ice cream, milk, yogurt, just fruits, with added sugar.. Well my today’s version is actually on the super healthy side.But still so yummy and refreshing !
Organic natural yogurt
I made it for two, so I had about a 1/4 of a cup of each fruit, plus 3 spoons of yogurt, and one of milk.Use as much maple syrup as you feel works best for you. Don’t worry, it hes some good micro-elements 🙂
I just love to use fresh veggies from the market Jean Talon, where a basket full of bell peppers you can get for 3 dollars, and it’s grown here in my province by this nice old man that’s selling me these on weekend.Or at least I hope so. So what am I going to do with a basket full of nice peppers, zucchinis and cherry tomatoes? An easy toss bien sûre !
2 chicken breast
Cut all the veggies, in big pieces.No need to over do it.Toss them around chicken breasts.Mix some crushed garlic with olive oil salt and pepper. Pour all over.Put fresh rosemary on top. Bake around 40 min on 350 F.
So I bought this lovely little vase at Indigo, perfect for wild flowers or just standing there and adding some character to my dining room.But I decided that plain white is a bit boring, and inspired by the west elm’s new ceramic line i simply added some blue indigo dots. That’s what i like: a 15 minutes easy project!
Keeping with the persisting hot weather,I decided not to bake, but use my slow cooker for my banana bread. Being honest, it was the first time I used it for a cake, so I was a bit worried it will not grow but as you can see, it did. And turned out super moist, yet firm, and oh soo good! My daughter love it! I hope you will to !
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
2/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup melted butter
4 tbsp maple syrup
1/4 cup milk
3 ripe bananas, well mashed
Mix dry ingredients. Then add the rest. Mix together. Purr in the slow cooker. Leave on high for around 2 h. When its ready let it cool down. Take out of the slow cooker. Voila !

This one is such a lovely juicy and bursting in flavor side dish! And of course soo easy to make. I think its the best with maple sirup and avocado oil dressing. Yumm!
It’s extremely hot in Montréal, and all I want to do is to crawl next to AC and stay there.I definitely don’t feel like cooking , more like ordering or just not eating at all.But there is hubby, and la petite who do needs to eat.So i was looking for an inspiration of no cook summer meals, and I decided that even BBQ is too much heat to stand.But mixing some veggies and rolling in the pita bread is easy, generates no heat, and with cilantro and lime is yummy and soo refreshing!
Yellow sweet peppers
Cut It.Mix it.Add Olive oil, salt and lime juice. Spread some hummus. Add veggies. Enjoy.
