Endless summer Peach, gin & Ice tea
“Everything good, everything magical happens between the months of June and August.” Jenny Han
While summer is definitely the best of all the seasons here in Montreal it’s also unbearably hot! I know it sounds like I always complain about the weather – though actually I really do. Winters are too cold and summers are too hot.. but at least I admit it!
So we have now reached a point of summer that I refer to as: I’m-so-hot-I-think-I-won’t-take-it-anymore. With the heat waves hitting us hard and the over the roof humidity the only thing that we can do is to stay hydrated and sip on the yummiest drinks ever! And so during the weekdays I’m whipping up a homemade lemonades like my life depends on it, on the weekends you can find me in the kitchen mixing up drinks for me and my hubby!
And this Peach Gin Ice Tea is my new favourite adult summer drink ever – a bit sweet , a bit tangy and so refreshing! Plus, it’s ready in seconds! It’s my best hostess with the mostest life hack to – as this drinks it looks fancy and tastes delicious- while being really easy to make!
What you’ll need to prepare the Peach, gin & Ice tea drink:
- Peach Ice tea ( I use the ready to drink mix)
- Sparkling water
- Good quality gin
- Fresh peaches
- Fresh Lemons
- Edible flowers
- Ice
Mix two thirds iced tea with one third sparkling water, ( ratio 2:1). Then add a dash of freshly squeezed lemon juice, one measure of gin, lot of ice, a slice or two of fresh peaches and some edible flowers for the ultimate summery touch! I used pansies, as they look lovely potted on my patio and they are great for summer recipes too. And remember to stay hydrated with water too!
Enjoy your summer!
