Moist Banana bread

Here is the thing : I was searching for a perfect and easy banana bread reipie for ever!
I lost hope. And then, I tried this. And even though I had only one banana on hand, it turned out perfect! This easy banana bread is comforting, moist inside and crunchy outside, a truly perfect weekend dessert! Of course , you can add chocolate chips or nuts. I like it simple, but if you feel like it, go for it :).

Lili helped me with all the mixing and banana mashing. Actually she really enjoyed the mashing. Now I think that whenever she’s bored I’ll just give her a banana to mash, cause seriously, she was so calm and concentrated that eating a mashed banana might be worth it ;).

Rustic baked apple

Baked apple

Imagine the world where the looks don’t matter, and it’s the insight that counts; this rustic baked apple is the incarnation of this idyllic place! It’s crunchy baked crust holds the sweet, melting in your mouth apple goodness soaked in sweet cinnamon sirup! And yet, it doesn’t look glamorous at all, and you could easily decide to never try it because of it’s looks. And that would be one of the biggest mistakes made ever! Really, this rustic baked apple is one of the best comforting-cold-weather-desserts that I had ever tried. Yes. And if you’ll use ready made dough, it’s going to be super easy !

Baked apple

What you’ll need :
Ready made dough
Brown sugar

Cut out the insight of the apple.
Proceed by cutting a square out of the dough (it’s not an art contest, so it doesn’t really need to be a perfect square). Place your apple in the middle.

Now you need to squeeze as much of brown sugar as possible in that apple hole! Top it with a teaspoon of butter and a generous pinch of cinnamon.

Baked apple

Wrap apples with dough. You can try cutting pretty leaves and placing them on top. I did cut some cute little leaves, but as you could see after being baked nobody could tell that I did it :/

Baked apple

Eat them hot, alone or with vanilla ice cream ! I assure you that they’ll comfort your body and soul !

Cookie dough Oreo bars

I’ll be very honest with you here. It’s not a healthy dessert! So if you’re struggling with diabetes, just stop reading now, and go check out one of my healthy desserts. However, if you’re looking for a ridiculously decadent dessert that’ll knock your guests socks off, look no further !

These cookie dough Oreo bars are one of these addictive, gooey, chocolaty and crunchy desserts, that your guests, family, even your neighbour, will love. I’ve made them last weekend and suddenly I’ve became the-best-daughter-in-law-ever! And if I wouldn’t be already married to my husband, he would have literally proposed to me. With his mouth full of this cookie dough Oreo bar. Yes, they are that good.

So now you’re probably thinking that if these cookie dough Oreo bars are so crazy delicious then they must be fairly complicated. No. They really aren’t. And there is no baking involved :). Here is what you need :

1/2 cup soft butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 cup flour
1 cup Oreo baking crumbs
1 cup white chocolate chips
1 can of sweetend condensed milk

For the Oreo crust:
1 1/4 cup Oreo baking crumbs
1/4 cup melted butter

Start by preparing the Oreo crust. Just mix the Oreo crumbs with melted butter, and press them firmly to the bottom of your baking dish. Then using your electric mixer, mix the brown sugar with soft butter, then add slowly the flour, and Oreo baking crumbs. Then slowly pour the condensed milk, and in the end chocolate chips. Now pour your sticky mixture on top of the Oreo crust, and let it refrigerate a couple of hours. Cut using sharp knife.

You can even freeze them once they’re cut in to bars, with sheets of parchment paper in between. They are even better cold!

Enjoy them with cold milk or hot coffee :). I know you’ll love them :)!
