Almond & pear upside down cake
This pear& almond upside down cake is so easy to make, and is quite healthy too!
I had to many pears and a little sugar craving..you know when the circumstances force you to do something ? 😉 that was the case. So since I decided to eat a tiny bit less sweets, I made this cake with basically no sugar at all :). I’ve baked it with a bit of maple syrup instead. So it turned out moist, slightly sweet, perfect for breakfast or snack :).
But don’t you worry, you can add sugar if you wish, just replace maple syrup with 3/4 cups of sugar.
2 cups flour
1/2 cup almond powder
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 pinch salt
1/3 cup soft butter
1/4 cup maple syrup
1/4 teaspoon lemon juice
Cut pears in to slices, add couple drops of lemon juice and a half a teaspoon of sugar, then set aside. Mix all dry ingredients, then add butter with eggs and syrup, and mix all together. Place fruits on the bottom of your baking dish and pour the batter evenly on top. Bake a around 40 min on 350F. Serve your almond &pear upside down cake with vanilla ice cream and maple sirup 🙂 .
