Cozy fall home tour

It’s that time of year again- cozy sweaters, warm apple pie, hot tea and a crisp weather on repeat! And best of all, it’s the fall home tour time! If you came here form the amazing home tour of My Sweet Savannah, welcome!

While I love all seasons we all know that fall means getting to cozy up at home- and so I always look forward to see how other bloggers decorate and make their homes extra hygge ! And I just love cozying up at home- so this season definitely means extra blankets but also fresh flowers – the best of both worlds!

And so let me welcome you inside! This time we’ll come by me kitchen side door- I just painted it the most sunny golden yellow- because I believe doors should greet us with colour! ( Seriously, painting a front door is such an easy project and makes such a big impact!)

Since you came through the side door let me welcome you in my kitchen, , all dressed for fall! A lot have change here since the last home tour- the entire floor to be exact! If you seen the summer tour, tell me isn’t it amazing the difference a floor can make? If you haven’t, let me assure you- it’s so much better now!

But coming back to my fall kitchen decor! I added some vintage finds ( the teapot that I found at my local thrift store, the little vintage glass lamp, perfect for the countertop that I just got at a yard sale and some wooden bowls) fall flowers grown locally, pumpkins from our recent visit at the pumpkin patch and candles- lot’s and lots of candles! ( I discovered these hand poured Phoenix candles and I’m obsessed!)

I also changed my kitchen art and I just love how it set’s the vibe!

Our kitchen is open to the dining space and the living room- so here I added a rough and dry grass arrangement, and of course more candles and pumpkins!

I love how the space flows and how the same elements repeat themselves while keeping everything interesting yet cozy. But let me tell you a secret- at first I planned a much more moody and rusty orange & dark green decor for fall!

But after living with it for a week or so I discovered that I can’t stand it! I mean I love pinning those ultra cozy images with lot’s of rusty tones, sepia tones and dark pops of colour. You know, the ultimate fall vibes. BUT I can’t live with those dark vibes around me- it just feel depressed for me. And fall decor is so much more than just range- fall is the bounty of fruits and flowers. Fall is the blue skies and crispy air. Fall is the coziness at home and hiking outdoors. And basically it means we can decorate our hoes in whatever hues that scream cozy for us!

So for me, as you see, fall means b&w, pinks, oranges and lots and lots of plants!

So in my living room I did hang my fall art, I added one rusty toned throw while keeping the others white, and black and white pillows mixed with pinks and neutrals. And I think it feels extra cozy without making me feel down!

The main focal point here is the fireplace that I have recently painted dark- and the big canvas art from Pretty in Polka Dots, with all the cozy fall vibes!

Now I can’t wait for the weather to really cool down so we can sit here around the fire and spend our evenings reading and sipping hot tea! Because fall is for hygge!
