Chocolate ganache tart

This amazing rich and creamy chocolate ganache tart is so easy to make, and so delicious, it's crazy! #dessert #chocolate

I’m not very attached to tradition, but when it comes to Easter I need a piece of childhood flavours. One of my traditional Easter treats is Mazurek. Basically it’s a chocolate tart, crunchy and buttery, filled with rich chocolate ganache and decorated with almonds and nuts. There is really not much work to it, all you need to do is prepare this simple dough and then the ganache. Doesn’t take more than 20 min, yet it looks and tastes like a very fancy treat

Tart crust:
2/3 cups of soft butter
3 table spoons of sugar
2 egg yolks
1 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon salt

Chocolate ganache:
1 cup chocolate chips
1/3 cup 35% cream
2 spoons butter

Decoration:
Almond slices
Shredded coconut

Make sure your butter is really soft, then mix it with sugar and yolks. When it’s nicely smooth and yellow, slowly add flour and salt. Roll the dough into a ball, cover it with a piece of clean cloth and put it in the fridge for 30 min. Sit down and have a coffee.

After 30 min, cut it into couple of slices (it will be easier to cover the baking plate) and using your fingers cover the bottom of your baking plate. Bake it on 400F for around 15 min ( when it’s golden in the middle and a bit brown on the edges it’s ready)

Melt chocolate in the little pot submerged in a bigger one that is filled with boiling water. Add cream and butter, mix it until smooth, and pour aver cooled tart crust. Decorate with shredded coconut and almonds. Serve it on Easter brunch, or any other time if you wish !
