Simple vintage spring mantel

Spring decorating feels very different this year for me. With all that is presently happening in Europe and with all that we all went through I’m generally tired and in need of calm. So instead of making-over my home for spring ( as I used to do ) all I want is for my home to FEEL like spring. Fresh and simple. Unpretentious and comfy. Lived-in and ready for open windows!

I’m not saying that in the past my decor was made up – but it centerly had that more-is-more vibe! These days however, I find beauty in paring down a little. But don’t fret! My talented friends have plenty of inspo for all the tastes this spring! ( you can see their ideas below!)

So, here’s my simple vintage spring mantel; with green potted plants growing like crazy, my favourite vintage brass bunny, the thrift-store-found round floral art, and my old & painted garage sale found candlesticks. It’s surrounded by cupboards with art and more plants, and while not explicitly spring themed, it definitely feels like spring for me.

So if you’re feeling like you want to add spring to your home too, remember that fresh plants and floral art on your mantle may be the simplest way to add more fresh vibes- without necessarily making over your entire home!

Today some of my friends are sharing their Spring and Easter mantel decor ideas too! Be sure to visit their posts by using the links below the images.
